It is the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, so I decided to create a piece fitting of the film. Even though the bounty hunter’s scene lasted for only a few moments, it was enough to fuel the imagination of thousands of fans. (Including: Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and many more!) I’ve enjoyed watching Disney’s “Gallery” and the “round table” discussions with the directors. Funny how these characters were all just “static” (IG-88 was a stationary character with only his head moving), but they became so iconic!
Trying to get them ALL into one artwork was a challenge, but after hours of working, I finally got one I liked. (Grab those 3D Chromadepth glasses…)
Here’s Boba Fett (and partial Bossk) in process (notice the figure towards the bottom right side).
Here’s the “glamorous” studio where I get to work… Keep checking back for more updates! I should be completing the work this month!
